Conceptual Graphs and Annotated Semantic Web Pages
نویسندگان
چکیده
Semantic Web aims at turning Internet into a machine understandable resource, which requires the existence of ontologies, methods for ontology mapping and pages annotated with semantic markup. It is clear that the manual annotation of pages is not feasible and the fully automatic one is impossible so the current trend is creation of tools for semi-automatic page annotation. Platforms like KIM and SemTag automatically annotate pages with named entities and predefined relations but deeper annotation requires human intervention. In this paper we describe a prototype that visualizes annotations of web pages and assists the user in their verification and enrichment. The ordinary people don't know terms like ontology and OWL/RDF but they can easily understand visualization of ontology terms as a hierarchy and the respective assertions as conceptual graphs. Visualization of knowledge is always an important issue and tools that make this process more intuitive contribute to better semantic annotation and domain understanding.

Use of Semantic Similarity and Web Usage Mining to Alleviate the Drawbacks of User-Based Collaborative Filtering Recommender Systems
One of the most famous methods for recommendation is user-based Collaborative Filtering (CF). This system compares active user’s items rating with historical rating records of other users to find similar users and recommending items which seems interesting to these similar users and have not been rated by the active user. As a way of computing recommendations, the ultimate goal of the user-ba...
متن کاملPresenting a method for extracting structured domain-dependent information from Farsi Web pages
Extracting structured information about entities from web texts is an important task in web mining, natural language processing, and information extraction. Information extraction is useful in many applications including search engines, question-answering systems, recommender systems, machine translation, etc. An information extraction system aims to identify the entities from the text and extr...
متن کاملConceptual Graphs for Semantic Web Applications
In this paper, we aim at showing the advantages of Conceptual Graph formalism for the Semantic Web through several real-world applications in the framework of Corporate Semantic Webs. We describe the RDF(S)-dedicated semantic search engine, CORESE, based on a correspondence between RDF(S) and Conceptual Graphs, and we illustrate the interest of Conceptual Graphs through the analysis of several ...
متن کاملYellow Pages on the Semantic Web
Yellow pages catalogs and corresponding directory services on the web are a widely used business concept for helping people to find companies providing services and selling products. When on the web, matching the customer’s need with the relevant services offerred by companies is typically based on keyword search, table-based search, a list of service categories listed in some order, a hierarch...
متن کاملFaceted product search powered by the Semantic Web
This paper presents a platform for multifaceted product search using Semantic Web technology. Online shops can use a ping service to submit their RDFa annotated Web pages for processing. The platform is able to process these RDFa annotated (X)HTML pages and aggregate product information coming from different Web stores. We propose solutions for the identification of products and the mapping of ...
